Become a CYO Official!
Officials play a vital role in CYO by contributing in a positive way to the development of young people. CYO Officials must demonstrate good character, integrity and a lack of personal bias. CYO officials are expected to be knowledgeable of CYO and sport rules and they are to apply these rules in ways that uphold the development of the child and the fairness of the contest as primary values.
REQUIREMENT
- PREFERED – Be a certified official by the OHSAA or by an organization approved by the CYO Athletic Administration
- Register with the Diocese of Toledo CYO Athletic Office according to the administrative procedures determined by CYO
Complete “Concussion in Sports”, an online course required to maintain compliance with the Ohio Return-to-Play law.
Pay Rate / Pay Schedule

1st Year Official | $10.10 per hour |
Experienced HS | $11 per hour |
Multi-Sport Official | $12 per hour |
Experienced Adult Official / Supervisor | $16 per hour |
LICENSED
Basketball, Volleyball (High School) | $30 per game |
Basketball, Volleyball (Junior High) | $24 per game |
Soccer, Softball | $24 per game |
Cross Country, Track & Field | N/A |
